CMCC Calls on Ministry to Conduct Copyright Consultation

On the eve of the introduction of a new copyright reform law, the Canadian Music Creators Coalition has sent a letter to the Ministers of Industry and Cultural Heritage this week, calling upon the government to consult with the wider community affected by copyright law.

Copyright laws must account for our fans’ legitimate interests in having a say in how they enjoy our music.  Similarly, Canada should reject policies that fail to accommodate the interests of Canadian music creators.
